Since Dmitry's inaction indicates he intends to do nothing about the date/time format fiasco, I thought I'd offer some suggestions that will at least make it a bit less boring.

1. a month or two ago give or take a week

2. way back yonder a ways

3. before last Thursday but after last Tuesday

4. in days of yore

5. four score and seven days ago

6. that time when them big ol' bullies hurt my feelings so I threw a hissy fit and put on my jack boots to show them who's boss

7. the day in July when I got my period

8. Septembuary 2*@5ish
