So just as I was getting the weakness on a general market pullback, the Feds move more aggressively to close the tax inversion door. This means that in general, U.S. M&A dollars will be repurposed for takeovers of U.S. companies based on actual business prospects, and in particular means AbbVie ditches its bid for Shire. This in turn implies Shire has to hunt for takeover candidates - because it's not really an organic growth company. The NYT mentioned NPSP specifically in this light.

So just as I was getting ready to reload, it takes off again on takeout vig.

Sigh.
