| | | To be perfectly clear, there is no VOTER ID, as in a document carried by the voter, issued in Texas. Show up @ a voting prescient, have your Texas drivers license, or any invoice related to a residence, an electric bill, a H2O bill, a gas bill & have the address on that document, the license, the bill, match the address on the voter roll & you are eligible to vote. Even if the address does not match, fill out a document stating the address on your document is your current-new-address and again you can vote. With respect to the voter roll, the voter roll, it's existence it is the same for all States, the Texas voter must be registered to vote. The assumption is if you are old enough to vote, you must live in some type of a residence. Even living @ home with your parents involves a physical address, just have a license, a bill.... It is a burden? Voting is a right & some of us defended that right & want to see that right, for all Texans, for all Americans, exercised. I would love to see 100% of Texans cast their vote between this coming Monday, the beginning of early voting, & Election Day in November. @ that point, the complaint about the 1%'ers, in Texas or any State, would become a non-issue. May be voting should be mandatory? How about that as an issue rather than using the buzz word, VOTER ID. |
