Just made my first Apple Pay purchase at a Panera Bread. The transaction went very smooth, it was fun. Activating my cards within Apple Pay took phone calls to actual human beings for verification, so that did not go as smoothly as I would have liked. Citibank had me on hold for 20 minutes. The CSR says they have been swamped.
