Dreyfus has owned MVIS in a couple of funds for about a yr now. They had reduced exposure early on this yr, selling about 1/2 their position in 1 fund.
Aggressive growth had 140k shares as of September, unchanged from 4th qtr '96, when the position was established.
Premier Aggressive Growth had 18,500. This fund established a 100k share position in 4th qtr of '96 and then sold all but 18.5k in 1st qtr '97.
Both funds tend to hold for the long term but, unfortunately, both also have very poor performance records. Still, about 30% to 40% of their stock picks have been successful (if you define "successful" as relative strength currently above 50).
