Toko,
As an aside, the mayor of Dalien, China (where the new Hyundai-Maxtor plant is being built) is a good friend of the Chairman of Hyundai. The commit to put a plant there was made before Hyundai even bought Maxtor. I have also heard conjecture that Hyundai could always change the purpose of the facility. I'll let ya know when Maxtor starts hitting their cap ex for actual DD equipment. They should be buying in Feb time frame. (At least the stuff where I can follow.) That would tell us something about their intent I "spose". By the way, Proton, a large national automobile maker in Malaysia has just announced a 70% cut back in production to its suppliers. And the auto market in Singapore has nearly gone dry. I trhink Hyundai would rather make disk drives there in the face of that kind of news.
Best Regards,
Stitch
