The Jews could not have been annihilated as you claim....Well you could start with bible which states the entire 600,000 Hebrew compliment that leave with Moses are then rejected, barred & exiled to die in the desert, they weren't worthy. I would call that anhilation.

Then you have the Assyrian annhilation in 8th century BC...The Babylonian in 600BC...The Persians don't annhilate but completely subjugate in 530BC....The Greeks flood in with Alexander & completely rule, subjugate & innundate Judah & take it over 300BC.

Then the Romans totally annhilate them later 70AD after earlier attempts 100BC , so i would say you need to study more & stop the hand waving, these 'chosen ones' suffered more defeats & annhilations. With the most ironic part being if others werent doing them in, or their god doing them in, they did each other in with inter tribal civil war / holy jihads later as we see with the Maccabees Herod & Hasmoneans.
