Ok, this morning I found another piece of the puzzle which I don't believe has been mentioned here at all. It turns out that the day after VVUS' revenue slow down announcement Integrated Medical Resources, the operator of one of if not the largest impotency treatment centers, announced that it is closing five of its 31 clinics. This is interpreted by some as a sign of slowing demand for MUSE. You can read about what Herb Greenberg has to say on the matter in today's column at: sfgate.com Fortunately, this hasn't done anything to the stock price this morning and the volume is piddling (good sign at this point, IMO).
