That's dumb. Without Silicon Valley, California would be the pit of despair. Silicon Valley is the very heart of Capitalism and California has done everything they can to kill that Golden Goose with its Socialist tendencies. Good thing Capitalism is hard to kill.

You clearly don't know the state very well, do you? Job growth in SV is >3% YOY........in other words, job growth is booming. In the following metros, the growth rate is >2% YOY.......slightly less booming: San Diego, Sacramento, SFO, Fresno, Riverside-San Bernardino and Bakersfield. The only major metro not booming is LA which saw its job growth slow to 1.6% YOY.

To put this all into perspective, US job growth was up roughly 1.5% YOY in August.
