You've lost your mind. Many Americans are done with the whole Social/Multiculturalism experiment. The Liberal troops, many disillusioned at the outcome, will simply stay home and lick their wounds. Some posters here have championed Obama's "veto pen" after the elections.. This would backfire as the obstructionism would surely kill a Democratic President in 2016.
An amazing flip in only two short years where the Republicans appeared on the ropes 8 counts into the 10 count. They simply veered from venturing further to the Left to become more "correct" in a fashion that the media told them they should behave, moved back to a more Conservative stance, and lo and behold, the electorate tired of the extreme "political correctness, and war on Christianity came back.
My sister, who has been a long term Liberal, vs me as a Libretarian turned a bit more to the Right in 2011, called me on the phone the other day.
She said, that she is surrendering to the "dark side" as she called it. She works in a Prominent Ivy League Medical Research facility. She said she was at the Grocery Store buying "hot dogs" and debated if she had the money to afford the Hot Dog Buns. There were two people in front of her with Grocery Carts overflowing, and both parties paid with a WIC Card.
She works 10-12 hours a day making a good salary, but after taxes, house payment, car payment, electricity, water. She has a hard time buying food some months.
She called to say she was now voting Republican.
