Palin seems to possess character and an understanding of the proper role of a chief executive. Until the brainwashed and the spectacularly stupid learn why Coolidge's administration and the assumptions that surrounded it were damned good models American aspirations will remain in decline.

Those lessons are underway. They'll be tough to assimilate for most, who have been denied foundational knowledge. Those whose skulls rattle like a gourd containing a few dessicated rat turds will never get it.
