i am a big miner fan and they have been great trading vehicles over the last few years - though it has been getting very frustrating lately.....

that being said i thought hi 7's would have been the exhaustion down but here we are at sub 5....many factors at work - V shaped general market ST bottom with SP moving almost 200 pts higher in 2 weeks, rising dollar, fedspeak/QE, end of october, and not so stellar earnings from some of the big mining boys like GG.....

this confluence of negative factors has been the perfect storm for the short crowd which should let up into next week.

with regard to JNUG the psychology here is intense and at this point it is an option - but one has to be comfortable with a possible 3.00 handle and a reverse split in the future. it is so oversold now it could see 10.00 just as well before the end of the year. i own 5K shares at an average of 6.34 - i will sell calls to soften the blow and be patient without adding...will it hit 20.00 in the next 12 months - maybe/maybe not. i have no idea but selling the calls is a nice way to cushion a loss, protect a gain

if u want lower risk just look at some of the non etf miners like AEM, GOLD, and RGLD if u want some exposure with well managed companies.

good luck
