I followed Dexter to the bitter end too but it least kept to all the same main characters and there was development between them and ongoing subplots. With Brody's death however, Homeland is essentially beginning a whole new show - we'll never see Brody's family or his ex-best friend again. It's only Carrie and Saul, and Saul is kind of secondary. Hope he doesn't get his head sawed off. As was pointed out to him, he doesn't really matter anymore. Quinn (another Quinn!) was a secondary character in the first seasons and he's been bumped up but it's not like we were really involved with him before, and he was previously a pretty tough guy. Now he's a tender, sensitive CIA operative. And Carrie -- who cares? She abandons her baby, and that Pakistani -- did she sleep with him because she wants to get to his uncle or because he's such a pretty boy? I don't want to know.

Goodbye Homeland. I dropped Boardwalk Empire and some others I can't remember. Looking forward to future episodes of MadMen, Justified, MoS and Shameless. I dropped my HBO and will only miss John Oliver, but his best bits are posted on the internet. I can live without Maher and Veep. I liked Treme a lot, but that's over. Goodbye HBO. Showtime rules.

Anybody watching Web Therapy? Lisa Kudrow is hysterical. That's a funny show.

NCAA basketball season about to start. Go Miners.
