Keep in mind that optimal pricing is rather less important when buying far month puts.

After all the only reason that one is looking at doing this is because of a conviction that the stock will decline again to test recent lows -- therefore one can focus on optimal pricing in terms of when to sell naked calls. This would ensure that one is properly protected when it comes to initiating long positions.

Does what I am saying make sense?
