If Microsoft is allowed to use the OS to monopolize the browser market, eventually Netscape will be no more. What kind of choice will we have then. Use an old browser that doesn't support any new developments or pay Microsoft $50 for the latest upgrade. The real question is whether the browser is part of the operating system. The court decided it was not. The operating system is what software uses to interface with the computer. The browser is a program that interfaces the operating system with the internet.
