Jaffo, if I understand your logic here, (1) you don't understand HAAPI and (2) therefore J. Saf doesn't understand it, either, and his comments should be disregarded. I'd suggest it is more likely that (1) as you seem to concede, you don't really understand it but (2) J. Saf does -- therefore your conclusions should be disregarded. (If you don't understand HAAPI, how can you determine someone else doesn't?)

J.'s critique seems a bit familiar: Have you ever communicated a Wordperfect document in ASCII? It strips out lots of code, and as a lowest common denominator leaves a lot to be desired.
