What makes you think that SPARC is down and out? Given that Sun is going to port Solaris to Merced, what makes you think it is not? Once Solaris is ported to Merced, it'll have to compete head-to-head with Windows NT... and we all know who is going to win that contest. IMO, today's announcement is a sign of desperation on Sun's part. SUNW is a screaming short. PTB
