The disease has been around for 40 years.......its not like its a new phenomenon with no history.
But we know pitifully little about it from a science point of view and the death rate from those who have it in Africa is as high as 70% 6 out of the 7 cases we've had in the US have survived, quarantining no doubt had something to do with it... Obviously it was never considered a real threat or vaccine development would have started a long time ago.

Excuse me, we know a lot about the disease. Its not airborne............and therefore is not terribly infectious. We know a person is not infectious when they are asymptomatic even if we have the virus within them. We know that if a person does not present with symptoms within 21 days of exposure that they are not likely to come down with the disease. We know it most likely comes from fruit bats. We know that its been highly fatal in W. Africa......anywhere from 50-70% fatal.......with the higher death rate for those over 45; HOWEVER, what we don't know is the death rate in first world countries. So far, it appears to be lower.

She doesn't have to remain in an isolated room for 21 days. Damn......don't fall for the same hysteria and bs that others are falling for.
Where she is now she is essentially quarantined but her publicity grabbing actions paint her as an arrogant and cocksure person without the necessary qualifications to think so. Why are you so confident that she is totally Ebola free????

Yes, she is trying to make a counterpoint to the fear and irrationality spread by many Pols and many in the media. I applaud her.......it takes courage!
