RE:
let us watch & brief on that effort and see whether it trends towards job-well-done
I can assure you the entire planet will be curious to know whether it "trends towards a job well done"

city-data.com

Now in the first picture it says the truck that attempted to cross that bridge weighed 160 tons. That's a LOT of weight. The heaviest vehicle load permitted on USA highways is I think 40 tons - with talks of raising it 48.5 tons (unless they already did). My point is though is that if China is allowing trucks weighing 160 tons to drive their highways and bridges its indicative of... how should I put it???

STUPIDITY ... or maybe just primitive minds operating in a mechanical world.

Certainly it indicates a lack of common sense in governing their highways and byways.

However to be fair I want to think they just dont have the facts right in the article..

Either way, China has a reputation of building things CHEAPLY and little regard for human life [think melamine] in the manufacturing process

All eyes will be interested in seeing the outcome.
