"Essentially, the program becomes worthless" Not to the recipients. They will get a check every month. "Except you can't point to examples of government success with any substantial program" SS, Medicare, Medicaid, Interstate system, Space, TVA/Hoover-Grand Coulee/rural electrification et al projects, our public health system, The Bomb and nuclear power, clean air and water, getting Aids under control, internet,..... Obamacare appears to be another in a long string of successes.
