I had a reply about how time is valuable so I want stuff shipped to my home to save the gas and time to drive and wait in line at Walmart where there are almost always lines...

I used to love going to Frys very close to me in Palo Alto to buy electronics and browse but I find more often than not I buy the little items from Amazon and mix in an order for shampoo or deodorant to get to the min for free shipping.

Then it dawned on me who the real winner could be...
IF... IF Walmart gets their act together Amazon can do nothing. Say you are a college kid and you want a baby fridge for your little dorm room. You can order it from Walmart free shipping and pick it up at a store. Amazon has to pay to have it delivered to your dorm. For Wally it comes on truck that were driving there anyway. Same with HomeDepot. I buy online from all three when it makes sense.

That kind of a price war would destroy the non-existant margins Amzn already enjoys.
Google!

Google vans are clogging the streets between where I live, Costco, Home Depot, Walmart and Googleplex. What if they also added delivery from Walmart and Home Depot.....
