There is data that suggests that sperm can carry the virus for a couple of months after recovery from an infection with ZEBOV. Other than that, I have not seen anything that specifically addresses the issue.

But as you point out, some viruses lay dormant (infecting a cell and not reproducing for a time) and recur later.

So it is possible that ZEBOV could do that.

Keep in mind that some people seem to be immune to ZEBOV and even more to REBOV (Reston version, perhaps most humans are immune). And others who are not immune seroconvert without becoming ill or seriously ill.
