" fortunately for the Obama administration, the Ebola scare seems to be dying down"

LMAO. It's called Public Health. The RW always had nothing to fear from Ebola but the end of fear itself, and they've ridden the horse about as far as it can go. Better start hoping for another case.

"Some of the excuses that the administration gave in not shutting off travel were really silly"

All of the excuses people gave for wanting it were stupid, and based on superstition. How stupid? Ebola here was coming from only one place, Dallas uninsured Texas, and they wanted to ban African travel, but fly to Dallas to make soundbites. About the only thing I fault Obama for is giving in to them by appointing a czar. I console mice elf by remembering that the ones crying the loudest for a czar are the same ones screaming because he had czars.

"You should focus on the welfare of Americans on home soil first."
Yup; that means ending this outbreak in Africa. It also means focusing on those really in the fight. If they get sick, nobody does it better than the US ex-Texas, so we should bring them back to Emory or NIH or Bellevue, and not to Texas, cuz Texas is 0-1.
