What the Jews patterned themselves after, what they took from Egypt, then Babylon/Canaanite/Assyrians , then Persian & Greeks, incorporating as they went along adding their own tribal genetic modifications.
What gods there were and gods that have ever been, were always created by man's own imagination. What is the highest good, the golden mean of moderate philosophical virtuous & moral living comes from experience and naturally evolves but varies as we see from people to people, tribe to tribe.
But you are free to sit in churches & wait for magic signs from above, while listening to preachers fawningly imitate the pragmatic interpretations of Aristotelian instruction.
