Hellooooooo Yellow tail,
I see you have already received some answers to your question. Like the White Knight says, there are a number of companies out there in the field generation business. One that comes to mind is Sonat, which markets these units (it's also in the gas exploration and transmission business).
In order to have the natural gas resources to continue the power generation we still need to look at my long standing posture, a company needs to "lease and drill", and "lease and drill", etc.
I believe that CEO Blystone is right on track with this concept. My recollection is that back at the stockholders meeting in Santa Barbara at the first of the year we were talking like 700 to 1,000 acres under lease. An excerpt from the Sacramento Business Journal dated 11-28-97 states ****Tri-Valley also leases 2,400 acres in the Delta and is looking at several thousand more, but Blystone declined to say where.******
That's still not big acreage when compared to exploration company holdings in Texas, for example, but this is very concentrated acreage, rich in natural gas waiting to be discovered in California. Apparently, Tri Valley's geologists appear to have the knack for pinpointing the gas pool spots, given their impressive success rate to date.
