12:25 PM EST, 11/05/2014 (MT Newswires) -- Apple Inc.(AAPL) and GT Advanced Technologies reached an agreement to unseal documents relating to a confidential supply deal between the two companies, according to a press release issued by GT Advanced Technologies.

GT Advanced said, "Both parties have agreed to waive the condition that GT's Oct. 8 declaration be kept under seal and expunged."

Last month, the sapphire maker filed for bankruptcy protection, less than a year after sealing a supply agreement with the tech giant. The settlement agreement was initially based on keeping GT Advanced's October 8 statement under court seal.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Henry Boroff, who oversees bankruptcy proceedings on GT Advanced ordered to unseal the documents on Tuesday and records will be made public on November 7, according to Bloomberg.

In recent midday trade, AAPL shares edged up 0.3% to $108.91, moving closer to the top end of the 52-week range of $70.51-$110.30.
