Because Reps believe in states' rights. A liberal simply does not understand a minimum wage in Manhattan is inappropriate for an Iowa farming community.

For instance, you live in Washington State. I fully support a statewide minimum wage of $50 per hour in Washington state. Go knock yourself out.

Even better, go raise your state income tax to 90% and give the money to people who refuse to work.
