Flu will kill far more people here this year than Ebola will, but with far less hysteria.
I've seen these comparisons before, and they're almost always made by those who are trying to excuse this administration for its abysmal response to Ebola.

Here's a hint: If you catch the flu, your chances for survival (barring any other complications like weak immune system) is 99%.
If Duncan had insurance, do you think the ER staff might have given him enuf exam time for them to think "temperature, Africa,,, hello", and put him in a room while they considered what to do, instead of sending him home?
No. I don't think his lack of health insurance had anything to do with the type of care he received, nor would he have had a better chance for survival if they somehow knew what to do a day earlier.
