<<But Joe and Marge Sixpack are not going to install such an expensive, low-tech
device in their new laptop.>>

Joe and Marge Sixpack don't own laptops. I saved up and paid $350 for a Backpack CD-Rom drive for my laptop a year ago. At the time I needed a laptop. Likewise, anyone with a laptop can afford the money. It is called supply and demand.

Joe and Marge Student WILL buy a PP Zip for their computers. They won't pay $199 for anything else. Every dollar is important to them.
I work on campus. More and more zips are showing up, especially in the dorms. None of Zips competitors are to be seen.

Rocky, I've come to the conclusion that you are not a real person. Other naysayers make rational arguements and are valuable because they cause us to constantly reevaluate our thinking.

I figure you have to an ID for:

(1) Shorts who want to try to shake the confidence of IOM investors.

(2) Longs who want to bolster investor confidence by making totally ridiculous arguements.

(3) KE who could be posting here in disguise just for fun.

Actually, I think #3 is the most likely.
