Beijing Electric Vehicle Co sold over a thousand units in H1 at 9% of China’s total

Sep 29, 2014 (China Knowledge) – Beijing Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd or BAIC BJEV, the electric vehicle arm of BAIC Motor, has said its electric car sales exceeded 1,000 units in the first half of this year at about 40% of Beijing's electric car market or nearly 9% of China's total.

In the first half of this year, BAIC BJEV saw its sales revenue of electric cars jump 12 times from a year earlier to RMB 65.15 million.

According to earlier figures released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the country's sales of new energy cars surged 220% year on year to 20,477 units in the first half of this year, including 11,177 units of electric cars.
