Yes, that is true, but what those who are upset about their core values being attacked is that what is really going on is science is leading that attack and liberals follow the science.

Here is a perfect example:

Guys are born gay says science. 4%. So what logic would say is that our society must make room for them to live normal happy lives in their way. It is pure logic 101. They MUST have the right to marry. It is too stupid to deny them it. And mean!

So science attacks core (primitive) values that prefer to persecute gays. Because persecuting gays for wanting a normal life is nuts!

A principled person who understands that, cannot continue to persecute gays who are decent normal folks with simply a different gender feeling.

Global warming denial is simply a triable loyalty. Pubs know global warming is manmade and real but the plutocratic tribal leaders have told the rank and file to deny it.
