Dear Ted,

Although you might not believe it, I am always deeply concerned about site performance.

There is an hourly slowdown that occurs on the hour for about 60 seconds or so, when our database transaction logs are backed up.

We are moving ahead with purchase of a high performance, all flash based database server, that keeps its transaction logs on a separate flash drive set. This should make this issue and perhaps others go away, and should make the site seriously blaze.

There is a lot of time and money involved in these things. You need to give us a bit of the benefit of the doubt.
