When you really believe in reality it becomes a love affair: Like chasing down an algebraic equation to a necessary conclusion. I don't think people like Brumar have any idea what it means to be in love with the truth of things--to search for the wizard behind the curtain. They want the curtain. They want to love what is in their imagination--not what is evidentiary at any one point in time. And that is the great divide. I am bewildered by their arrogance in pretending that their wishes transcend all the thoughts and experiments--and especially the proven LOGIC of our best minds? What hubris?! Without even a semblance of justification. When I exchange with Brumar or TROLL boy or Gregoree...they honesty do NOT seem to me to be a part of my species. And I say that in all seriousness. It is people who decide on the dividing lines. If we were sufficiently advanced we could (I mean we would!) probably make the division between homo sapiens and stultus homo!
