Phoenix Cancels Alexander Troy Contract, Retains TransMedia Public Relations
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix International Industries, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PHXU - news) announced today it has canceled its public relations contract with Alexander Troy Consultants, Inc. of Winter Park (Orlando) Florida and retained TransMedia Public Relations of Boca Raton for financial public relations.
Alexander Troy had been hired to increase ''broker awareness'' of Phoenix as a holding company specializing in acquiring ''high tech'' companies. ''We're confident that TransMedia will do a better job getting the word out to the financial community,'' said Phoenix President and CEO Gerard Haryman.
According to Gerard Haryman, since the hiring of Alexander Troy, the share price of Phoenix's common stock has dropped more than 50% and, ''There is no fundamental reason for the decline in our stock price.
''Our computer consulting and staffing company in Atlanta, ITC, has turned profitable and is on track to meet its budget of over $6 million in revenues, and our computer systems analysis company in West Palm Beach, HDX 9000, which specializes in the Year 2000 problem, has successfully completed the first stage of one project for Palm Beach National Bank, has started another for Products Dynamics, Inc. of Chicago, and is negotiating with St. Lucie County, Florida for a third.''
Gerard Haryman added that it is Phoenix's intention to file its Form 10 with the SEC within days ''so that we can become a reporting company, which is one of the requirements to meet our short term goal of moving from the electronic bulletin board to Nasdaq. With all of these good things happening at Phoenix, we don't understand why the word has not gotten out to the investment community and we have taken this action to replace Alexander Troy with a firm that can and will do a better job.''
