Hagan and Nunn were winning this vote by similar margins as Obama, each taking more than 9 in 10 black votes. But neither of them was able to overcome the anti-Obama environment and their struggles among white voters. Nunn fell to businessman David Perdue (R), while Hagan was edged out by North Carolina state House speaker Thom Tillis (R). Overall, only 36% of possible voters voted........even in GA and NC. Even though more blacks voted in 2014 than in 2010; much fewer blacks and Latinos voted in 2014 than voted in 2012 when Obama was running.........the guy you think Americans hate. In 2012, Obama won the election with 52% of the electorate voting for him. Turnout was 57% of all possible voters.......one of the highest in recent years. Obama's approval ratings are in the mid 40s.........fairly good for a president in his 6th year. You all are just lucky he's not running in 2016.
