| koan: <Instead of defending your ignorance, you should try and learn something as long as you are here.<
PC: <<Hey, I am all for learning something that I don't already know. You think I am ignorant?? Guess what?? I DON'T CARE.>>
koan: "you don't mind being ignorant? That is an amazing statement.
PC<<I refuse to change my core values just because "YOU" think I should>>
koan: "It is not just me, it is civilization that thinks you should. But keep on defending your ignorance. I am sure your kids and grand kids respect you for doing that.
koan: <Your kids and grand kids would applaud you if you quit being proud of your antiquated thinking.<
PC: <<Don't forget when showing photos of Grandpa and Grandma to your Grandkids, to whip out photos of your second wife. And tell them you dumped Grandma for a hot little babe Decades younger than Grandma.>>
koan: I did nothing of the sort. I married each woman over a decade after my divorce. We liberals do not think people should stay in bad marriages if they don't want to and find nothing wrong with getting a divorce if the marriage isn't working. And it is usually better for the kids.
Psychologists today feel "family function" is much more important than "family structure"!
And so what are you taking about? I had two girls by two different women. I paid my child support on time for 18 years, raised them half time by myself and then put both girls through years of university. One daughter is a lawyer: UC Berkeley and Loyola law school and the other is a scientist, university of Oregon. I raised both girls very gently as my best friends, never hit or even scared either one and they are wonderful well adjusted girls and fine members of society neither ever getting in any trouble; and Both recycle-lol.
I was a very good dad and am very proud of that. Both girls went to out of state universities and I paid for everything including cars, apartments and several trips to Europe and New Zealand (exchange student) which is why I still work full time at the age of 73. Neither had to work a day going to university.
My children are everything to me. I still give them both money because both live modest academic lives (which is what I want). One's husband is still going to school and the other one (lawyer) is a stay at home mom as raising her kids is the first priority for them and they live on a poor professors pay (PHD atmospheric chemistry UC Iriving).
We liberals put our kids first and feel a stable home and education are of the utmost importance.
PC<<You can "explain" thingS to them.. I am sure they will understand...>>
Koan: You think my girls don't know my history-lol? And both of my girls are married to scientists (one a physics professor and research scientists and one a horticulturalist and chemist.
And my entire clan, daughters, husbands and inlaws are hard core liberals and we agree on pretty much everything and are all very close. All five grandparents are liberals: two lawyers, a statistics professor an artist and me. We all have worked hard in our life and lived clean lives as productive members of society (helping the poor and society in general) and we are NOT proud of our ignorance, just aware of it, and try to be less ignorant as much as we can.
So there -lol! |
