The setup on Roku can be difficult and trying but once it's done properly, watching Netfilx on it is very simple and easy to use. The same holds true for Roku and any other streaming service, Amazon Prime, etc.... The setup can take effort but once it's done, it's simply a matter of point and click to get started.

Adding a wireless keyboard will help dramatically for searching and entering in account numbers and passwords. Setting up accounts and the network with only the Roku remote is a big pain in the rear.

Those "sticks" that you can plug into a TV tend to be as or more complicated than Roku. The "cheap" Google Chromecast (about $35) takes effort to setup (like Roku) but it's function is to mirror on the TV, whatever you are watching on your tablet, laptop or phone.

All of the solutions need a good home router. A wireless WIFI router will work efficiently and eliminates the cable for connection.

If you have a "smart TV", then some of the issues can be eliminated but almost every option will require a good home network or at least a decent router to share the internet access with your computers.
