Actually, Metacomet, the drug companies once past the research phase (which is normally government-funded) spend peanuts to make inordinate profits. Remember when every city cross-America had its own city hospital? Well, these all got bought out and became for-profit hospitals. We've been scammed on health ever since Reagan.
