Exactly! Perhaps you are starting to understand.

There is no essential difference between Natural Selection and Artificial Selection except that in Natural Selection there are no humans deciding who breeds the next generation. Instead the decision is made by which organism eats and which gets eaten (and of course luck, and and other random chances which essentially cancel the effects of each other leaving fitness as the directed selection)
