I don't know of a way to hook up your antennae through the router. If you have enough cable and a "splitter", you can share the antennae with both TVs by wiring them into one end of the splitter and attaching the antennae to the other.

I think your internet speed will most definitely be an issue. Here are Netfilx recommendations:

Internet Connection Speed Recommendations
Below are the Internet download speed recommendations per stream for playing movies and TV shows through Netflix.

  • 0.5 Megabits per second - Required broadband connection speed
  • 1.5 Megabits per second - Recommended broadband connection speed
  • 3.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for SD quality
  • 5.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for HD quality
  • 25 Megabits per second - Recommended for Ultra HD quality

As you can see, you are near the edge of it working properly. What will likely happen is frequent "buffering", where the show you are watching pauses temporarily. This can ruin the enjoyment factor quickly, if it happens at the wrong time in a show or happens over and over again. I strongly recommend running SpeedTest or a similar app/program to see if you are really getting 5 Meg throughput.

With Chromecast, it would not be difficult to move it from one TV to the other as needed but I don't think that's a very good solution. Keep in mind that Chromecast works great for apps and websites that have designed it in, like You Tube. It is not a great solution for many of the options people use to view TV through a phone or tablet/PC.

As far as I know, Samsung is one of the best (if not the best) when it comes to "smart" connectivity.

Lastly, there are devices like android boxes from OnD in Canada that offer terrific options when you are eliminating Cable or Satellite. They are not cheap and can have a very large learning curve to understand all the apps and options available. There is huge difference in using a box like this, as it takes time to download or connect to the streams. It is not like changing the channel and immediately getting what you want. However, they do not require additional monthly payments to watch an incredible amount of movies, live TV, Old TV shows, Music video and radio stations, etc... It may take a minute or 3 to watch what you want and this may be very frustrating when compared to Cable/Satellite.
