I just bought and setup two Chromecast dongles for relatives, it's pretty easy and works well, however if you are going to do heavy streaming the more expensive version of the Roku box can be connected via ethernet cable directly to your router, so you are less likely to have stuttering issues due to wifi... The families I installed the google dongles for already have stuff like netflix built into their televisions, so they wanted the Chromecast thingy to show family pics and videos on the TV from their iDevices.... For that the 30 dollar gadget is great...

Regards,
John
