Take your laptop into the room with the TV and see if you get a WIFI signal. I would be very surprised if you did not. I get my WIFI signal in all rooms of my apartment, as well as several signals from neighbor's routers. My brother can occasionally get my WIFI signal and he lives 3 buildings away (approx 150 yds). So give it a try with your laptop computer first.
