William (Bill?):
You got that right, this will be interesting.
Does anyone else remember five years ago, when all Clinton's appointees were asked to sign an "I'm an Honest Person" oath? This is what was then called the "most ethical administration in the history of this country." Right.
Judging from some of the postings on this thread, it seems that I am not the only one who is somewhat skeptical of some of the economic statistics being flushed out of the Beltway. When Robert B. Reisch took over Labor, the economy improved considerably.
Now that there is "virtually no inflation," and we have "the best economy in 50 years," does anyone dare to ask about the validity of the economic numbers? Speaking for myself, I would be mighty interested in a non-gov't Cost of Living survey, perhaps by the Conference Board. I'd like to see a survey that includes common food items, insurance, taxes, cost of commuting, savings required to send your kids to college and for your own retirement. I'd like to know a real "cost of living," not what some bureaucrat thinks an average family should spend to make the numbers look good.
Well, hey! It's Xmas, and I can wish for whatever I want!
Good trading,
