Whether Don knows or doesnt know the answers to those questiosn, which are all obtainable by a quick visit to nasdaqtrader.com and nasd.com (both sites Ihighly recommend), does not mean that his questioning of Chris is not prudent given the weight it seems many are giving Chris's comments.
I can state that I have posted on here for a while and have always encourages that doubting individuals call to find out who we are, do some research to validate our firm etc. I, too, would like to know what firm Chris works for.
Chris might just be using an Alias to prevent his employer from knowing that he is posting. Nonetheless, (and I emailed Chris on this), not representing yourself truthfully and in real name might probably be considered manipulative and deceptive which he must know that he could lose his job. So you have to ask yourself, why would a trader, making 6 or seven figures, jeopardize such a salary? There must be something he is after. I don't mean this in a bad way, since we are all after something, whether it be knowledge, exposure, etc., but clearly its something because he is risking a very nice position, if he trades at GSCo, MLCO, MSCO or LEHM and covers tops stocks, as he states.
Chris, if you up here to simply be source of information, as a principal, sales and options principal, in our firm, let me make a sincere suggestion to get the approval of your employer. Doing so without it is probably the quickest way to loseyour job. You are representing yourself as a trader at one of these firms. The material you placeon here is probably considered education and must meet certain supervisorystandards. I am a principal so Bernie and I review everything we do up here, but just be careful. It can be done and you will get what you aim for, but ifyou don't do it with full disclosure, you couldlose your liscense.
Given this understanding, we should all, always question what we read up here and the motivation of contributors, myself included. To date, to his benefit, Chris has done nothing but provide great and intruiguing insight into his role at his firm.
Food for thought!
