Robert...

It seems to me one has to separate two thoughts

Main-street is participating in the wealth creation after 2008... they're in a recession now... due to wage pressures, job pressures and high taxes - higher oil prices and unannounced food inflation.
The elderly, the savers, retirees and other conservative financial earners are pushed further away from any wealth creation.

The reduction of oil and gasoline and natural gas prices is a not deflationary event for main-street, it is a piddle of comfort... in a system that since 1975-78 and 1980's with Ronald Reagan has been cooking the books just the way Jack Welch cooked GE's books by shifting assets between companies that he learned to do while attending Harvard Business School.

Secondly:
The upper economic class of income earners... the 7%'ters and above are the only ones participating in the stock markets wealth creation. The white swan effect only reaches a very few investors. The big players can keep this going for some time to come... money always seeks a place of least resistance and that place today is USA.

I'll give this imbalance another two years.
I've ridden this imbalance happily and expect to walk away better off... but utilities and companies that make something useful will remain - Buffett - but AT&T and the tech worlds may not be one of those. Including Apple.
