Chris might just be using an Alias to prevent his employer from knowing that he is posting.

IMO this is probably true. Just look at what he has stated already. His comments directly or indirectly support many of my suspicions about NASDAQ and its MMs. They are a very pragmatic group of people that is there to maximize their profits, like anyone else in the market place. It is very valuable insight that he is providing into how this is accomplished. If his informationis true, this edjucation can prove to be nothing short of priceless, particularily for traders like day traders. From what I can tell, he appears to be a staight talking and a very knowledgable individual. If he is not a NASDAQ MM, than I suspect he operates in aposition to know allot about ofhat goes on in the NASDAQ marketplace including the operations of the MMs

Still, I do agree with Steve that it is always prudent to be skeptical. However, I suggest there is a way of determining the likelihood of who the person claims themselves to be in terms of the market knowledge they have without them having to reveal their identity and employer. Continue this ongoing discourse with Chris. If you are good at this type of "interview" process, you will be able to tell soon how authentic his claims are and how valid the information is that he gives out.

For instance, at first I was skeptical about Steve when I came across his thread. But after interacting with him and asking him questions and seeing how he responded to my questions and comparing my knowledge about the markets with his responses, over time I was able to determine to my satisfaction that Steve is on the level, at the very least as far as his market knowledge went. It is a skill that I have had to develop over the years that serves me well enough, a skill that I am sure many of you have. I think it is an essential skill that everyone needs to develop. I will be doing the same with Chris. There are many very knowledgeable people here that are very capable in getting a good read on the market knowledge Chris has. Follow their lead, and allow this discussion to unfold.
