I have not made a contribution for some time, just reading all the excellent postings.I finally found a reference to Apple in the Irish/UK press which raved about the Emate. great press about the product but unfortunately you could not buy unless you were a parent with young children. You can guess the comments from the writer. Next week that had changed and anyone could buy the Emate. I called the distributors and was informed they were flying out the door, I bought one for my wife.The distributor informed me the Emate had got cult status in the US, is this true. This morning I actually heard an add on radio for Apple machines. I had formed the opinion that Apple did very well in europe and did not find it necessary to advertise, well
I am optimistic.The article in last weeks Business Week gave a nice report on the latest Apple laptop but concluded it was too expensive, even with the speed. I hold the stock for some time, I get depressed
when I read the stock held by the present directors. I regret not having sold at $29, instead I bought in again at $19.
I think they must turn a profit this Qtr otherwise it is time for musical chairs again or sell the company.At least no profit warning --
- up to now, perhaps results will meet expectations or better.
