"Follow you? Where, to the Bar? Your hate toward God and your fellow man is consuming you and rotting your Soul."

What kind of talk is that? You are bespeaking a terrible anger and you are showing a malignant spirit.

Firstly, I was suggesting you follow in the path of rational thought and compassionate feeling...and I gave you examples of people you could utilise as mentors.

Secondly, I do not hate any of the thousands of imaginary gods. You're just being irrational.

Thirdly, of course I hate some of my fellow man. But the overall percentage is rather low. There are degrees of hate. One cannot hate some ignorant fellow who spews infantile rage in a (very very transparent) pretense of calm (such as poor, pitiful Brum)--as one hates ALL the members of ISIS...whose superstition places them entirely above their fellow man and denudes human existence of all value.

And if one is to have contempt for mere ignorance and superstition, then what does one propose to feel for rapists and psychopathic killers? One must reserve their most intense contempt for the most hurtful humans...and work their evaluations (and the appropriate feeling state)--back from that to neutral--and then likewise from the good side of the equation--the helpful humans. Most of my feelings for humankind (as I honestly examine them while typing this) are on the sympathetic, compassionate, and forgiving side of the equation. Life is a struggle. And many people are not well equipped for that struggle.

No, I think my hate is rather well balanced. Of course, I hate all the attributes of the imaginary god you embrace. I would be a terrible human being if I did not. These attributes are malevolent and they demean humankind. I don't like those attributes in a fellow human being...so why would I like them in a fictional being???

Most decent humans consider it normal and laudable to hate those attributes. So enough about me: What is it about YOU that allows you to embrace those attributes? Would you follow a human being who had such attributes? For instance, would you follow a Hitler? Or a Goebbels??

"The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”
