The point is nylon waste didn't exist till humans invented nylon.

Why not? Nylon is an organic compound of carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen, which pretty much describes the normal food for bacteria. Maybe nylon didn't exist in such large quantities or in the shape of women's legs but the organic soup that is life on earth is full of pretty much any combination of chemicals. The only difference is that now there is more nylon so now there are more of nylon eating bugs to find.
