You sure picked a tough book to do a comparison on. Amazon had 37 hits for In His Steps while B&N had 13. Couldn't even make sure I was comparing apples to apples, as the other has published many times under the same title. Did appear that Amazon had more selection than B&N which is opposite of what you said. Any price checks I've done, Amazon and B&N have been fairly compatible on price. Anyone else?
